Kirkley Postdoctoral Fellowships in Musculoskeletal Health Research and Innovation

The Bone and Joint Initiative and Collaborative Training Program in Musculoskeletal Health Research at Western University, London, Ontario, Canada is seeking exceptional candidates as the inaugural Kirkley Postdoctoral Fellows in Musculoskeletal Health Research and Innovation. As a Kirkley Postdoctoral Fellow, you will be integrated in a transdisciplinary training program aimed at enhancing your career development in the area of musculoskeletal health research and innovation.  This unique multi-Faculty training program has been developed to provide research and leadership skills necessary to pursue transdisciplinary projects.

The Kirkley Postdoctoral Fellowships in Musculoskeletal Health Research and Innovation are aimed at promoting the recruitment of exceptional candidates to foster new collaborative research and bridge existing areas of strength in MSK research at Western.  Applications are restricted to exceptional external candidates, within their first 3 years of postdoctoral training.

These awards will provide successful candidates with one year of funding for a total award  of $50,000 (these awards are a 1:1 match at $25,000 each between the program and the PDF’s supervisor).

Applications are currently being accepted and forms can be found online. Applications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis until August 1, 2015. (WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS ).

This unique opportunity is targeted specifically at recruiting new candidates to foster transdisciplinary research.  Applications will be evaluated on both the excellence of the candidate and the proposed new collaborative research area enabled by their recruitment.
